KEWATEC ALUBOAT ACQUIRES NEW CONTRACT FOR GERMAN AUTHORITIES
Kewatec AluBoat has been awarded a prestigious shipbuilding contract for German authorities. The patrol vessel will be designed and built at the shipyard in Kokkola, Finland.
Kewatec AluBoat and German fishery authorities signed on 8.11.2017 a contract regarding a delivery of a fast patrol vessel for Baltic Sea coastal operations. The contract strengthens Kewatec AluBoat´s market position in central Europe, and fulfils an important step of the company´s market strategy.
The boat is 14,8 meter long with a width of 4,5 meter. Powered by 2 Volvo Penta D8 diesel engines and Rolls-Royce waterjets, the boat will have an operational speed exceeding 35 knots.
The design of the boat is developed to suit the fishery authorities patrolling duties. The spacy wheelhouse is softly mounted to the hull, creating an incredible silent work environment. The big deck areas are designed to make it easy to store and work with big sized fishery equipment.
The boat will be delivered to the client in October 2018.
